DONAL O'KELLY
WRITER-PERFORMER

​Donal O’Kelly’s solo plays include Edinburgh Fringe First winners Catalpa and Fionnuala, also Bat The Father Rabbit The Son, Jimmy Joyced! and Hairy Jaysus. He wrote and acted in Jimmy Gralton’s Dancehall that inspired the Ken Loach film Jimmy’s Hall now an Abbey Theatre stage adaptation with Donal in the cast. 
Francisco, which he also directed, won Best Radio Fiction Prix Europa 2013 and the Gold Medal in New York Festival Radio Awards. His radio adaptation of Fionnuala about the Shell-Corrib gas project was Norwegian broadcaster NRK’s entry in Prix Italia and Prix Europa.
He acted in Fishamble’s production of his play Little Thing Big Thing winning The Stage Best Ensemble Edinburgh and Best Production First Irish Festival New York. It had productions in Winnipeg and Nova Scotia Canada winning several awards, and in Washington DC and St. Louis.
He acted in his play The Cambria about Frederick Douglass’s refugee journey to Ireland in 1845 that played New York, Los Angeles and Harare as well as Ireland.
Catalpa toured internationally including New York, Washington, London, Toronto and Melbourne.
Other plays include Vive La, The Dogs, Asylum! Asylum!, Judas Of The Gallarus, Operation Easter and the Dublin City Council/San Jose 1916 Play Commission winner, The Memory Stick. He was in Aosdána once upon a time.
His music-theatre piece Running Beast, music by Michael Holohan, was released on cd in August 2018.
In summer 2018 Donal enjoyed recording the soundtrack monologue for the world premiere of Enda Walsh’s Office 33A for Galway International Arts Festival.
Donal is delighted to be touring again with Bat The Father Rabbit The Son in October-November and January-February.



RAY DUFFY
LIGHTING DESIGNER & TECHNICAL MANAGER

Ray Duffy is a sound engineer and lighting technician, with 25 years of experience in the music and theatre industry. 
Previous lighting designs include Richard 111 and Mad Forest at The Samuel Beckett Theatre, The Stolen Child for Calypso Theatre Company, and Macbeth for The Tivoli Theatre. 
Previous work with Benbo Productions includes The Adventures Of The Wet Senor in 2012, the 2015 tour of Catalpa, and the radio dramas Francisco, and The Cambria. 
CLARA PURCELL
PRODUCER

Clara has worked in theatre, film and TV production since 2012. She produced Dubliners Women (2016, The New Theatre) an adaptation of Joyce’s Dubliners by Katie O’Kelly, directed by Sarah Baxter which toured nationally.
She co-produced the premiere run and national tour of Norah (2018, The New Theatre) by Gerard Humphreys.
She is currently involved as producer in the development of two original projects; Katie O’Kelly’s 
Displace in association with Belltable, Limerick, and Sisters! The Musical – book and lyrics by Tracy Ryan, music and lyrics by Kaeylea Van Keith.
Stage management credits include King Lear and Romeo & Juliet (2016, Smock Alley Theatre), and JOYCED! (national tour, 2013).
She was production assistant on feature-length documentary Nuala – A Life (2012, Accidental Pictures) and worked in production support in RTÉ for four years.
Clara is one of the organisers of PalFest Ireland, a multidisciplinary cross-cultural arts festival in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
She is currently Producer & Marketing Manager of The New Theatre, Temple Bar.
